Choosing a ship for a motor yacht charter

For business purposes or couples wanting privacy, you may want more privacy and space between cabins.
Once you have chosen a ship, you will contact the charter broker to check the availability on the dates you have chosen for your event. If the ship is available when you want it, you will be required to pay half the total amount to secure the reservation. The prices vary widely depending on the vessel, length of the trip and where you will be travelling. In most cases, you will be required to pay the balance thirty days before you sail away. If you cancel your reservation, you will lose your deposit and may be required to pay the balance, if the broker can’t sell your dates to someone else.
There are two methods of payment when chartering yachts. Most people chose the all inclusive package. With this, you pay one daily fee that covers all costs for food, fuel, crew and other fees. The Western Mediterranean Plan is a flat rate charged for the ship and crew. You are then billed separately for fuel, food and other fees. People choosing this method often prefer dining ashore and don’t want to pay for food. With rising fuel costs, the all inclusive plans are more cost effective, especially for longer trips on a luxury motor yacht charter.
